The defects of lofibrosis and myeloid metaplasia the red cell membrane, as evidenced (MMM) and ten patients with MMM by acid and sucrose lysis tests, were secondary to carcinoma were studied limited to those with primary MMM and for the relationship of MMM to “PNHoccurred in 54#{176}/o of the cases. Another like defect.” Laboratory measurements 10#{176}/o showed decreased haptoglobin included Ham’s test, sucrose hemolylevel, positive sugar-water test, and/or sis test, sugar-water test, leukocyte hemosiderinuria suggestive of the alkaline phosphatase, haptoglobin, and syndrome.

Paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria and concurrent JAK2V617F mutation

Paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) is a hemolytic and pro-thrombotic disorder associated with the clonal expansion of hematopoietic stem cells harboring somatic mutations in the PIG-A gene. Mutations in PIG-A result in a lack of surface expression of all glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored proteins, including the complement inhibitors CD55 and CD59, which is responsible for the h...
